What Customers Say About Photography (9th Edition):

But for exposure, aperture, lens, color etc. Once again if you want to increase you knowledge of photography get this book it is a great reference. And for those of you that need images to prove a concept, there are plenty of them. this is a great book. If I remember correctly another reviewer suggested that for the price, skip this and get Bryan Peterson's understanding exposure. I got this book to prepare for the certification test.I thought that that after 5 years of self study (from various authors) I had a good grasp of photography.

A lot of authors soft pedal the facts that this book is solid on. The only draw back is the information on film which is a dying industry. I was wrong. Well I have it and some concepts he glosses over. The first 3-5 chapters told gave me a better foundation of photography.

This is a timeless reference that will give the reader an all around background on photography.

John Hedgecoe's manual of photography, which I bought almost 30 years ago and has been updated consistently. Other books exist that cover this material entirely adequately for all but the PPA certification candidate, e.g. However, I'm pursuing the PPA certification and so thought I might as well have the "official" book. All that said, it's good and complete on the technical stuff should you need that. I bought the 8th edition for under $20 after the 9th came out for six times that price. I wasn't willing to pay the current asking price, and I'm not convinced it's really worth it.

Great price and arrived in the condition it said it was in. This was just what I needed for my class.

Brand spanking new, great condition :DEven though the book is expensive, its a great investment with detailed instructions and pictures~It gives you great inspiration and incentives so I highly recommend this book to ANY photographer. From digital to film to amateurs to professional

Plus, I get to use this same book in another photography class. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the purchase. The only "problem" with the older editions is that the information on digital photography (particularly on DSLR cameras) is a little outdated, but it's not a big deal.

He saved me a LOT of money. The book was really cheap (less than $11 including shipping) and in a good condition (as described). Thank God my photography teacher said it would be fine to use the 8th (and even the 7th) edition of the book instead of the 9th one.

The book itself is well written and is easy to understand. How great is that. I also want to thank the seller, of course.

THANK YOU, patglaudel.
